Interestingly its not just Tesla that’s ruling the charts in the EV market . Toyota, Ford, GM and several new players like Rivian and Lucid are rapidly scaling up their operations and manufacturing factories to meet the ever rising demand for EV.
Industry experts speculate the sale of EV’s to be upwards of 1 Million in USA in 2023. As much as encouraging this is for the manufactures it lays a big burden on them to meet the demand as there still exists a big gap in supply besides overcoming several challenges related to meeting the infrastructure demands
During our discussions with a randomly selected adults across different states of USA, we found few interesting facts
This strongly co-relates to their intent to opt for EV. Almost 58% agreed to have considered purchasing or have purchased an EV in last 6 months. The remaining 42% expressed their concerns about EV options to be still very expensive and feared of the run times and charging availability esp if driving between states.
There was a high optimism though in view of the government s allocation of huge budgets as high as $5 Billion for development of a wide and
extended network of charging stations across 53000 miles of highways.
Almost 95% agreed that Tesla though the kick started in EV market is losing its sheen primarily because of its focus on Luxury cars. Everyone quoted to be anxiously waiting for other traditional manufacturers to launch their affordable versions of EV
Overall, the electric vehicle market in the USA has grown significantly in recent years and is expected to continue to grow in the future. With support from the government, major automakers, and advances in technology, the EV market in the US has the potential to become a major player in the global automotive industry.
